A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE WILLINGNESS OF
THE CITY OF BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS
TO UTILIZE
FEDERAL-AID SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM
ENHANCEMENTFUNDS
WHEREAS, The City of Batesville understands Federal-aid Surface
Transportation Program Enhancement funds are available at 80% federal participation
and 20% local cash match for the following project:
Pedestrian Access — Arkansas Transportation Enhancement Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BATESVILLE, THAT:
SECTION I: The City of Batesville will participate in accordance with its
designated responsibility, including maintenance of this project.
SECTION II: Mayor Joe M. Biard is hereby authorized and directed to execute
all appropriate agreements and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of the
above stated improvement.
SECTION III: The Batesville City Council pledges its full support and hereby
authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action
to implement this project.
