A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF BATESVILLE,ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH STEEP
CREEK,LLC. OF GREENBRIER,ARKANSAS FOR THE BATESVILLE DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, Batesville,Arkansas has received funding through the Federal Emergency
Management Agency (FEMA);
WHEREAS, bids have been received for the drainage improvement project. All bids
have been reviewed and a recommendation for award has been made; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Mayor and City Clerk to sign a construction contract
prior to start of construction;
NOW, THEREFORE,IT IS RESOLVED that the Batesville City Council hereby
declares that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute a contract with Steep Creek,
LLC. of Greenbrier, Arkansas in the amount of One Million One Hundred Ninety-Seven
Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-Six Dollars and no/100 ($1,197,286.00). Said cost not to be
exceeded or decreased without properly executed change orders. The cost of the contract will be
paid with grant funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the City of
Batesville.
