Presented to the City Council of the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, was an application filed by Jewell Beel for the closing
of Center Street in the City of Batesville, Arkansas, between St.
Louis Street and First Street, as more particularly shown in a
plat filed for record on July 29, 1885, in Record Book N-2, Page
166. After due consideration the Council acted as follows:
RESOLVED, That a public hearing on the application
of Jewell Beel shall be held before the City Council
of the City of Batesville on Tuesday, July 26, 1977,
at the City Hall, at ;oo _/ M. o'clock. All
persons desiring to be heard on the application who
appear at the hearing will be heard.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, That notice of the public
hearing shall be published once a week in the
Batesville Guard, all expenses of publication and
costs of the hearing to be borne by Jewell Beel,
the applicant.
Adopted this 12th day of July, 1977 .

Dear Mayor Golden:
I am enclosing a copy of an application for closing of
street which I filed with the City Planning Commission on
behalf of Jewell Beel. The application was acted upon
favorably by the Planning Commission on Tuesday, July 5.
I would be appreciative if you would place this matter
on the Council 's agenda for Tuesday, July 12, 1977. At that
time I shall request that the City Council adopt a resolution
setting this matter for public hearing at the City Council
meeting on July 26. I shall see to it that the notice is
appropriately published.
