AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS, MASTER STREET i
PLAN - YEAR 2010; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Transportation Advisory Committee for
the City of Batesville, with the assistance of the Arkansas State Highway
and Transportation Department and the White River Planning and Development
District, Inc. , have conducted studies regarding traffic patterns and traffic
flow within the City of Batesville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, on the basis of the aforesaid studies and Planning Commission and
Transportation Advisory Committee for the City of Batesville, Arkansas, have
developed a Master Street Plan consisting of existing and proposed routes
for arterials and collector streets in and around the City of Batesville,
Arkansas;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and Transportation: *i�dvisory Committee,
pursuant to the provisions of Arkansas Code Annotated Section 14-56-422,
have conducted a public hearing on the Master Street Plan held on the 24th
day of October, 1991, at 7 :00 p.m. , for the purpose of receiving comments
on the proposed Master Street Plan from the members of the general public;
and
WHEREAS, following the conduct of the said public hearing the Planning
Commission and Tranportation Advisory Committee for the City of Batesville,
Arkansas, unanimously adopted the said Master Street Plan and recommended
its adoption by the City Council for the City of Batesville, Arkansas, by
its certification of said Master Street Plan to the City Council through
the Mayor' s office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BATESVILLE,
ARKANSAS, TO-WIT:

Section 1.
That the Batesville, Arkansas, Master Street Plan - Year 2010 as approved
by the Batesville City Council on March 10, 1992 is hereby adopted as the
Master Street Plan for the City of Batesville and should constitute the Master
Street Plan until revised.
Section 2.
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of that conflict.
Section 3.
The City Clerk is directed to maintain three (3) complete copies of the said
Master Street Plan on file in the office of the said City Clerk at all times
for inspection by the general public.
Section 4.
That it is ascertained and declared that it is necessary for the public peace
and welfare of the citizens of the City of Batesville, Arkansas, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
